I am so fortunate to be surrounded by so many talented and creative people. Just look at what my friend Manuel did...isn't this a beautiful table display for an event he planned recently? Leave it to Manuel to go above and beyond on every project he is involved in!
On a related note, "Congratulations on your new gig Manuel"!

Julianne Moore
Julianne Moore is amazing! I think she is so beautiful, has such a unique look and just radiates natural sex appeal and glamour. Look at these fantastic new shots of her gracing the cover of Vogue Paris, photographed by Mario Testino. This definitely serves as inspiration for me, photographically speaking. The shoes, the jewelry, hair, makeup and colors are just perfect! (Hope the sheer top in the bottom photo doesn't offend any of you.)

Small Cool 2008
My favorite feature of Apartment Therapy are their home contests, such as the Small Cool 2008. So far I haven't seen a home that's completely knocked my socks off, but I absolutely adore seeing how other people live! I love the sofa in the image above as well as the splashes of bright color against the white backdrop of the room.

Audrey Kawasaki
Since I'm diving heavily into art today, I thought I would make mention of another one of an artist I have admired for some time now...Audrey Kawasaki. Her work is gorgeous! The colors she favors are so serene.

Chandelier on the Wall?
Love the idea of using chandelier designs as art, especially if you live in a rental that doesn't allow you to actually hang a lighting fixture. Duffy London has a nice collection of lightbox prints. Also noteworthy is Made by Girl's Chandelier print sets. You can even choose your own mix of colors.

Logo Laugh
Stumbled upon this logo design and had quite a giggle over it. Read the story behind it HERE. Oh, but look at the logo sideways first.
I am sooo bad! :-)

Testing, Testing, 123
Testing out a new blog. After talking to Steffan at work today about pros and cons of blogger vs. wordpress, I decided to give wordpress a try.So far it really does appear to be more functional and better geared toward my needs. I will make an official announcement shortly (with the new link) if I decide to make the switch.
Happy weekend everyone!

AIGA Workshop
Arnold and me at a recent AIGA Workshop
Originally uploaded by sfraz71
My picture made it into the local AIGA's monthly e-zine this week! This was taken at their web design workshop after a very long day! The next meeting should be incredible! Ann Willoughby, President and Creative Director of Willoughby Design Group, and Starbucks’ Stanley Hainsworth will be speaking! And in June my "secret" project (involving my recent photoshoot of Meghan...below) will be revealed at the annual AIGA Poker Tournament.
P.S. Thats my boss Arnold sitting with me in the picture!

Illustrations
I found these old illustrations tonight that I did a few years ago that were part of a series I did based on fashion photographs. I remember having so much fun doing these! Maybe I should give it another go one of these days!

Railroad Pass Trail
I went hiking today with Austin and my mom at this really cool trail overlooking Lake Mead. What makes it so cool is that it used to be an old railroad track long ago. The track is no longer there but the tunnels are!
