Binth

http://www.binth.com

I'm infatuated with spot varnishing at the moment and am quite fond of how they used it on the card above.

Can't go wrong with black & white paired with a vibrant color!!!

Jim Fiscus

Discovered this photographer in Comm Arts magazine. I love the color and textures in his work.

Formosa Tray Table

Still trying to think of a reason I absolutely must buy this stylish little tray. I think I'm going on 'white' overkill lately. I have always enjoyed the only color in a room being supplied by the art on the walls though.

Anyway, it's a bargain for $39.95 over at CB2.

Check it out for yourself...

Paper Show Surprise

Last week I attended a Paper Show sponsored by AIGA after work. Manuel met me there. What a surprise that we ended up having a grand time at a paper show, of all things! I picked something up from almost every vendor but my favorite by far was a book, The Ligature on Ligatures. It is an absolutely beautiful collection of paper, processes and typography! What a treasure I stumbled upon!

My Friend Lauren

I love this girl! She's super sweet, absolutely gorgeous, very smart, a great friend and oh-so-fabulous!

I think I'll lend her one of my favorite quotes...

And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.
Anais Nin
US (French-born) author & diarist (1903 - 1977)

Love ya Lauren!

Oh Eileen!

Bodum - Eileen French Press

I've been eyeing this French Press beauty by Bodum for a couple of years now. My friend, Sabina had one that I absolutely fell in love with. Not sure why I haven't caved in and bought one yet.

Should I?

Hmmm....

I definitely want to become involved with (join) the local chapter of AIGA, but not sure if this events my cup of tea.

An Elegant Walk

I was recently stopped by an older gentleman, while walking down a very long hallway, so he could tell me that I had the most elegant walk. I was completely taken aback by this. Shocked that my tired & achy body could present itself as anything other than clumsy after a very long work day.

So, what is it that defines elegance in motion?

Wikepedia:
Elegant things exhibit refined grace and dignified propriety.

Wordnet.princeton.edu:
Displaying effortless beauty and simplicity in movement or execution.

Amazing that what we portray externally, at times, can be so distant from how we are feeling internally.

My Favorite Vegas Design Agency

Only recently discovered this agency and was wowed, to say the least. Located in the Holsom Bread Lofts, in the Arts District, downtown Vegas, One11 is a gem! Not only do they do fabulous work (check out their portfolio section) but the interior is a designers dream! Judging by their website (their people section), they really seem to value their employees and nurture creativity. NICE!

I'm hoping to check it out for myself at the next First Friday.

One11...

One of these days...

A new day....

Never thought I would see the day that I would decide to start a blog! Well, the times, they are a-changin'!!

This space is dedicated to the art of self renewal, inspiration, positivity and lusty material obsessions!

Stay tuned...
