New Gnome

So, my old coworkers and I had a little Travelocity gnome obsession and Manuel just emailed me with news that a Vegas Gnome is coming out soon! I may have to get one, if only for a photography buddy/model/travel companion, as shown below with my original gnome which I brought to TAO nightclub and the Venetian clock tower for photo ops!

What will you name him?

I definately think we should take a road trip to Marfa, Texas and do a photo shoot!

Hmmm...I think I'll call him Manuelvis, after you! :)

Do you think his cape is more Liberace than Elvis?

How about Manueliberace? How catchy is that?

Hmmm...well, I think if it were Liberace it would hav feather boas too. I prefer Elvis anyway. MANUELVIS, it is. :)

The more I look at it, though, the more I'm reminded of the Excalibur! lol.

I just set this late pic as my background (I love it!) I recently saw an episode of "King of the Hill" where Hank doesn't appreciate his wife's Gnome. This reminds me of those laughs... and of my times at the Venetian. (And our too infrequent breaks w/ Meghan by the outside canal and Gondola ride).

Miss ya.... Danielle

Boy, were those the days! I miss all that too, only I"M STILL HERE! I had to sign a contract yesterday for policies and procedures for the new management, which I'm sure will be the death of me. I'm pretty positive the document with my signature of agreeance gives them grounds for getting rid of me, if for example, I happen to take a personal call any time other than my lunch break or if I grab a coffe while clocked in.

I'm a grown woman, who does one hell of a good job at getting my job duties accomplished in a spectacular fashion. They have increased my responsibilities, yet have taken authority away and have isolated me by insisting managers not contact me with design jobs anymore.

I really don't need all this petty controlling bullshit anymore. I have been taking anti-anxiety medication (valium) this week to try to make myself numb to it all....not good.

What happened to this place, Danielle? I'm so happy for you that you got out while you did! You would have hated whats happened around here!
